John C. Macidull Distinguished Test Pilot & Author Born in Philadelphia, John C. Macidull is a former accident investigator of airliners and spacecraft (Challenger Presidential Commission). Macidull obtained his master’s degree in public administration from the University of Southern California and his bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis. A test pilot in jet and helicopter aircraft, he enjoys aviation, as well as history and music.

In addition to The Chiang Imperative, a techno thriller, Macidull is the author of the science fiction work, Alien Legacy, also available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. He is also the author of numerous articles, reports, and studies on aviation safety published worldwide in the FAA Safety Journal, the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board accident investigation reports to the public, and by the International Astronautical Federation.
